Biography

Biography

Do you remember writing:
Your heart isn’t worth it
And walking away?

Instantly our years
Turned to ashes
And skipped on stones
Like the feet of children
Happier than us

Happier than me

But tonight I feel brazen
As I chase lights home,
Home where you’re not
Where your name is erased

Like a mistake, a typo
Torn out of my biography.

I’m laughing
And it bellows a sound you’ve never heard,

Knowing

You’ll never change; never be rewritten.
