In Spring

In Spring

In Spring,
The air celebrates a change in flavor
From sour to sweet
While the sky welcomes the taste.

In Spring,
The sun is good to us
Too harsh in the summer, so we resent
Too soft in the winter, so we discount
But that fleeting perfection feels alright, right now.

In Spring,
Belly laughs and endless cries
Work together, like brass and strings
In an incredulous orchestra,
To make flowers bloom on time.

In Spring,
For reasons unknown:
Boundaries are broken and things fall apart,
Scapes change both through windows and through eyes
But it’s all allowed
For the sake of anew…
